I don't know if I'd say the OUAT writers don't know what they're doing with the story anymore. Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitnis have always been very open about the fact that they've had an "endgame" in place since before the show was greenlit. I think the impression that the narrative has become lost (which I also got at points) comes from s4 being so sloppy, which is due to the fact that they made the Frozen arc up, outside of their original plan. The s5 plot has been foreshadowed for a long time

Yeah, i totally agree. I misspoke saying that they dont know what they are doing, but i guess the fact is that they kind of lost me with that season. It seemed like it went all over the place…and yes, i do think it had to do with the Frozen arc. I mean, don’t get me wrong, i love the movie Frozen and i was psyched when i heard they were doing it but it didn’t really work with their story that much. I dont think it added to their plot. 

Season 5 looks really promising though, so i’m excited to watch it and hopefully fall in love all over again ^_^
