Day 146 of waiting for Bond26 news
Recently, IO Interactive's Chief Development Officer, Véro Lallier, did an interview with GamesRadar+ about the state of the company! While it discusses the company as a whole, I do want to relay a few things!
Information about Project 007 was rather sparse since Lallier can't share many details about projects other than Hitman. What's new though (as far as I know) about Project 007 is that it won't resemble GoldenEye64's gameplay which isn't much of a surprise since IOI worked on the Hitman games. It makes sense that experience working on Hitman would serve as a good foundation for James Bond! The developers also have a good working relationship with MGM!
As for more general things, there were four "company pillars" established which can be summarized as:
Listening to the community
Engaging with the development team
Optimizing the output of the game
Communicating with other developers
Since IOI was hiring in the midst of a tumultuous period in the industry and is planning on hiring more people later, I am a little hopeful for the direction Project 007 will take!
