Day 146 of waiting for Bond26 news
Recently, IO Interactive's Chief Development Officer, Véro Lallier, did an interview with GamesRadar+ about the state of the company! While it discusses the company as a whole, I do want to relay a few things!
Information about Project 007 was rather sparse since Lallier can't share many details about projects other than Hitman. What's new though (as far as I know) about Project 007 is that it won't resemble GoldenEye64's gameplay which isn't much of a surprise since IOI worked on the Hitman games. It makes sense that experience working on Hitman would serve as a good foundation for James Bond! The developers also have a good working relationship with MGM!
As for more general things, there were four "company pillars" established which can be summarized as:
Listening to the community
Engaging with the development team
Optimizing the output of the game
Communicating with other developers
Since IOI was hiring in the midst of a tumultuous period in the industry and is planning on hiring more people later, I am a little hopeful for the direction Project 007 will take!

Day 121 of waiting for Bond26 news
This just appeared into my mind and I feel inclined to make sure that I'm not the only person who knows this exists. Introducing to you all, World of Espionage, the James Bond mobile game. Admittedly not the best piece of Bond media out there to say the least, (fairly certain it received a fair bit of negative reviews) but it's my duty to touch upon any and all obscure Bond stuff.
This game was used to promote SPECTRE, which was the latest film at the time. As the servers for this game shut down within a little over a year, I can't play this for myself. I tried watch a gameplay video and I'm not even sure how to describe this game. It's described as a menu-based role-playing game though.
What I will say is that the graphics are amusing to me in a way. You'd think it's just a weird mobile game ad until you realize that it's an official Bond game.
Day 103 of waiting for Bond26 news
It's Bond Showcase time and there was actually something Bond related that released relatively recently! It's a mobile game entitled Cypher 007 which has a unique story alongside settings and characters from the Bond films! It's exclusively on Apple Arcade and since I have an Android phone, I can't really play it. (Moreover, I'm rather adverse to Apple products as a whole for a myriad of reasons)
However, I have watched a few gameplay videos and I really enjoyed the attention to detail! There's nods to several Bond movies from a range of eras. What's especially cool is that we get a in depth look into various familiar locations like Q Branch in terms of scenery. This makes sense given the core premise of the plot where Bond is retracing his steps from past missions. He's been put into a trance by SPECTRE and he's trying to break free of their scheme.
I do think it is worthwhile at least looking into gameplay videos for this game! (Especially if you're into spotting references and into looking at Bond settings)
