Whats alt text?

ah google has a lot of nice technical definitions but basically it’s text attached to the html code of an image online. it’s supposed to serve as like,, a caption describing the image. alt text is also what screen readers read aloud, so those who are blind or visually impaired are able to appreciate pictures online.

i haven’t added alt text to all the pics in my posts but i’m gonna try to start doing that now. i’m all about accessibility, babey~ 👌🏽

Language is really cool y'know like you could read a history book or you could learn the entire history of a certain specific aspect of a specific culture and much more just by looking at the development of one modern word in an etymological dictionary. (Which if you do so I totally recommend using multiple different etymological dictionaries. There may be information in some that aren't in others.)
