I was gonna wait until chapter 5 to post this (since this comm was completed on 12/4) but I’m impatient and I love everyone on tumblr the most so huzaaaaaah!!! The human version of Leo and Usagi from my fanfic “Cool With U”! I commissioned the lovely @the_universe_art over on Instagram to draw my interpretation of the boys and I just love how pretty they both came out! Usagi is so adorably dorky looking and Leo’s more gorgeous than I could’ve ever imagined him gosh I just wanna explode every time I see them and it’s a lot of times bc they’re my new wallpaper for both my phone and tablet >:3 💖
I’m still so glad the artist took my commission and bared with all the specific details I had given her to make this, and I’m definitely gonna commission her again for a certain scene of the fic that I just know will look so cute and romantic in her style (๑>◡<๑)💙💞💞💞💞💞💞💙
Deets for what this is supposed to be isn’t much since it isn’t for any specific scene and is just what a typical hangout between Leo and Usagi will look like during the time of them still getting to know each other as just friends. So it’s just a lot of Leo yapping (sometimes exaggerated) stories/memories about him and his sibling and Usagi soaking up everything Leo tells him bc he just wants to know every little fact about him (totally no gay sentiments involved) <3

I’m posting again so that means publication of chapter 4 of Cool With U is upon us! Sorry for taking like 5 months, got too excited about how I was gonna write Leo and Usagi interacting again that I ended up avoiding writing it and started writing other things lol. Also my sister wanted to hang out with me for her summer break so we ended up watching lots of shows and movies plus I got her into South Park games and South Park in general (even got her to watch Beaststars which she actually enjoyed especially towards season 3 which also WOO part 2 of season 3 coming out next year!)
What’s left for me to do is edit and finish a few paragraphs and currently the chapter’s at 4,876 words so at best we’re looking at 5000+ words and I already have chapter 5 planed out.
But anywhoooooos, enough boring talk and here’s a complimentary sneak peak of Leo and Usagi’s 3rd interaction :3
CLTCL AU: Summary on Auntie (Noriko), Kitsune, Chizu, Kiyoko and Hana
Happy new year to you lovely people! I’m back (for now) and for those that are still interested in this, I’m finally giving y’all some more lore for this AU since I crave to be creative and write again and distract myself from everything that’s been happening in the world lately so yeah, here I is :p
But anyway bc women are the end all be all of our species and bc of the tiny bits of lore I sprinkled in of the Kitsune & Chizu on chap 2 & 3 of CWU. Won’t spill all of it since imma reveal more of it in a later chapter (this is for y’all but also mostly me since my previous notes were very messy lol).
_Auntie_
Since we don’t really have a lot of Auntie lore in Usagi’s canon world I took advantage of that and went ahead and gave her an angsty backstory bc why the hell not lol most of the other adults in my fic have crappy upbringings. But anyway in this au she’s from Tokyo so she’s not living her countryside life yet that happens later on and her immediate family consisted of her Mom, Dad, and little sister Fumiko (she’s Usagi’s mom and was 5 years younger than Noriko). They were a typical middle class family in Tokyo and all that was expected of her was to get a husband who made good earnings from his job or if she was good enough to get the attention of a man of high status or if she paired with someone of great status to strengthen their family both socially and financially.
Noriko could care less about any of that crap tho and even found the idea of getting married or giving birth very nauseating. Going to school and making her own income appealed to her much more and on the days where her mom annoyed her the most about her future she’d remind her of those two desires of hers, and let’s just say the dinner table wasn’t quiet and and cordial as they’d all hope. Throughout her teens her mom would schedule meet ups with possible suitors for her but not much would happen from them bc Noriko just wasn’t the guys’ type or to put it more bluntly they just found her very odd bc she didn’t act like an “average” Japanese women and carried more “masculine” energy more than feminine (I.e. she’s secure with herself & openly voices her opinions). To her mom it felt like a lost cause that someone would want her as a wife once she hit 20 yrs old she risked it and tells her parents that she wants to go to collage and after pleading to her dad he ultimately agrees much to the disproval of her mom. In fact she vehemently attempted to sabotage the process from even happening but behind her back Noriko’s dad helped her with whatever she needed to get herself enrolled. Long story short she goes to collage and completed 2 full years majoring in finance since “it was the least she can do” if she wasn’t going to ever marry but before she could even start her 3rd year her mom found another potential suitor for her to meet who just so happened to be the son of her friend.
They meet and Noriko thought it would just be like all the other meetings but to her horror a few days later her mom who looked the happiest she’d ever been told her that her friend called her back and that the son wanted to marry her, and soon. Everything after that just went further downhill as her dad was forced to pull her out of college and instead focus on her future fiance (this is happening around the 80’s so societally in Japan the concept of falling in love with someone you choose and genuinely like was starting to be an accepted thing but many families still practiced “omiai” , even to this day but its more modernized than how it was before and its kinda like arranged marriage but its more like two families meeting with the intention of joining hands in marriage). Shit was rough and they constantly argued about it for a year until one day Noriko got sick of listening to her parents (more so mom) and ran away from home, buying a one way ticket to California with money that she stole from her parents and not looking back. Why California? Because her dad once received a postcard from his boss who was vacationing at California and she liked the ocean view picture of one of the San Diego beaches and wanted to see it for herself.
From there she was homeless and alone for a bit before meeting Hueso and his older brother Francisco, aka Piel (he’s older by 3 years) at a food drive. They kept bumping into each other at events where free resources like food and hygiene were given out but it wasn’t until after she helped them get out of trouble that the 3 truly became friends and after getting enough money from their odd jobs they were able pool in enough money to get a one bedroom apartment and the room was obviously hers since the guys wouldn’t take no for an answer and were fine sleeping in the living room since it beat sleeping outside. They continued their odd jobs and were able to adjust a bit but ultimately after a year of living together both Hueso and Piel had to leave since trouble had found them again and they didn’t want Noriko to get mixed in with their problems but Hueso promised he’d try to keep in contact with her to let her know how they were doing. It also took Noriko a while to try and reach out to Fumiko since she was busy trying to find permanent stability for herself but after five years she finally did and for years after she tried to contact her sister but never heard back. Fast forward to 2 decades later or 22 years to be exact, Noriko was able to get a stable job at a private tax firm and move in to a better apartment that’s close to the beach and one day out of the blue she gets a letter and its from her sister who finally responded back to her after all those years.
Fumiko wrote back to her telling how she never knew her sister tried to contact her bc their mom hid any evidence that she even did but that it wouldn’t of matter anyways bc she at that time she hated Noriko for leaving her and denounced their relation since she was also fed lies about why Noriko ran away. Unlike her sister, she did marry the person her mom chose for her since the guy was nice and they even tried to have kids but every time they tried Fumiko just couldn’t get pregnant so after 3 years of trying they found out her husband was infertile. Since her husband didn’t want her to be cooped up and bored at home all day so he suggested she do something like enroll to collage, pursue a hobby or even get a job if she wanted to and after some thought she does. She ends up working as a librarian assistant at a local collage and there she meets a guy who she later ends up secretly seeing. It’s Usagi’s dad (his name is Riku) who majored in art studies and their love story is very much ‘country boy meets city girl’ type vibe except he’s nerdy and quirky (i.e. undiagnosis Audhd rizz) and to grab her attention he would leave a flash card inside the books he checked out and on them he’d make mini comic strips where he’d draw his anthropomorphic self insert (drew himself as a rabbit ;p) express how she made him feel, of how beautiful she was and sometimes would even just tell her fun facts about the Edo period. He even drew her in anthro form which was also a rabbit since she commented about how she likes rabbits (she never really had a favorite animal but since meeting Riku rabbits quickly became her favorite).
They both fell madly in love and officially dated each other within 7 months since meeting. Since she was technically cheating it did eat her up and eventually after 4 months of Riku and Fumiko being official she confessed to her husband her relationship. Surprisingly he took it really well and even admitted that he was also doing stuff on the low but with just guys and he admits that he’s been thinking of divorcing her since he saw her more as acquaintance. So he allows her to see her boyfriend throughout that time and finally filed for divorce 2 years later since he waited until he got promoted from work. While it was in process the two revealed the news to their parents and it went as horrible as you can imagine and long short story Fumiko got disowned just like Noriko and was threatened to have her life ruined by the mother of her ex husband bc she didn’t want to believe her son swung for the same team. It was also that day that her mom revealed that to Fumiko that Noriko had been writing to her but that she always ripped the letters up as soon as she picked up the mail to prevent Fumiko from ever reading them and getting ideas (damn I’m really making that lady unlikeable lol). It didn’t take long for Riku and Fumiko to leave Tokyo and move to his small hometown near Kyoto where his mother treated Fumiko much much better and was heavily involved throughout Fumiko’s pregnancy with Usagi.
In her letter to Noriko she ends it with her wish to reconcile and maybe even see her in person on New Years if she could. She also wrote her new address and a picture of her 1 month old nephew, herself and the true love of her life.
Okay, I think I’m good to end it here for Auntie’s lore XD
_Kitsune, Chizu & Kiyoko_
Their little group first starts with Kitsune who was homeless for the first 9 years of her life. She lived with a few temporary caretakers here and there but they never lasted very long and she’d ultimately end up right back on the streets to fend for herself. Life was boring and pretty miserable whenever she saw a happy family enjoying their day and how her life would be like if she had people close enough to love her but when she was 7 yrs old and around late winter she ended up meeting a frantic Chizu who had accidentally stumbled into Kitsune’s temporary spot/makeshift home and she had just ran away from her abusive adoptive mother who is Fuwa bc why the hell not it goes with the story.
Because it was raining and bc she was the only girl close to her age that’s ever wanted to willingly talk to her, Kitsune let Chizu stay for the night then it quickly became 3 years of them sticking with each other until they find a baby abandoned near their new location spot which was near a scrap field and because they were able to find her first instead of someone else Kitsune named the baby Kiyoko. Chizu was cautious and told Kitsune that they should just give her over to adults who could help her better than they could but Kitsune was adamant that they could take care of her just fine and if they tried the plan then Chizu’s attempt of laying low would be for nothing and that someone could inform Fuwa of her whereabouts bc throughout her time with Kitsune Fuwa was out looking for her and would force many of her adoptive sisters to go out and help her. Chizu didn’t make a fuse about it again after that.
So Kitsune would go out trying to make money with the puppets she was able to make from the scraps near her place and when she wasn’t puppeteering she’d even sell some extras that she made but pickpocketing was her main source of income as she was practically a master thief by this point, all while Chizu stayed with Kiyoko to take care of her since she already had experience with caring for babies bc Fuwa would bring in more young girls into her home. Tbh I’m still working on Chizu’s backstory for this since my brain can unfortunately only think about blue gays most of the time, but basically Fuwa is lowkey running a cult and it’s not religious or anything like that since cults aren’t exclusive to only religion and honestly anything could be cult as long as there’s group of ppl(s) with deep devotion to something and in Fuwa’s case she was a political extremist and believed that children should be more involved with helping the government and especially in combat in case they’re at war again and needed to take care of invaders like some were expected to in WWll (you guys know about Japan’s history while they were a part of the axis powers? Yeah well she aligned with those types of ideas. Bruh, let me know if that’s too much or corny, I’m open for suggestions tbh)
So yeah they try their best to take care of her and it’s alright for almost a year before Kiyoko gets really sick and they had no idea what to do or who to turn to. At this point Noriko already knew them and had been slowly trying to gain their trust so she could take them home with her and Usagi but Kitsune vehemently rejected her and her acts of kindness many many times since she just couldn’t trust them sine she felt like adults were always going to disappoint her at the end of the day.
I’ll leave it here since like I said I have plans to reveal more in a future chapter.
__Hana__
This is for if I decide to keep the storyline for Chizu with Fuwa
Similar to Chizu and having heard of her brave escape from the other girls, one day Hana risked it and ran away from Fuwa and even if there wasn’t a high chance that she might survive being out on her own it was better than being with Fuwa’s crazy ass. She was only 6 yrs old btw.
When she left she did her best to find Chizu since she had overheard the older girls asking amongst themselves about if they ever had any follow up on locating Chizu which they didn’t and last they could find out was a store owner seeing a slightly older girl that resembled her (they showed him a younger picture of her) but that’d been years ago and thought she might’ve left the country or straight up kicked dirt. So for a month she lingered around the area that Chizu was last seen and survived by stealing food and sleeping at the cemetery that’s near the outskirts of the small town. It wasn’t until the last week of the month (which was May) that Chizu along with Kitsune & Usagi came into town to get some stuff for Noriko and from the rooftop that she likes to hang out at Hana spots them and reveals who she is and why she left Fuwa’s place. At first Chizu didn’t know what to do other than keep Hana far away from where they currently where but after Usagi suggested they just go back home there wouldn’t be any more worries on what they were gonna do with Hana since she quickly stole Noriko’s heart so yeah, it only took 30 minutes for Auntie to decide on keeping her with them
And that what I got for now. I’ll be posting a materpost so all this stuff can be easier to find but like I said if anyone has any ideas on what I can add or improve for Chizu and Hana’s lore then lemme know in my ask box or in the comments. Editing has been a real bitch for chapter 4 of CWU bc there’s one section that pmo really bad and my English can’t English correctly even tho it’s my preferred language but I’m hoping that it’ll be done by this month :’)
