Book 57. Yet another course book finally finished. Another interesting read too, even if some of the chapter introductions were a little long (22 pages) and dry at times. A relatively speedy journey though food history, though by no means a speedy read for me. Well translated, edited, and laid out with interesting and informative texts within it. Again some of these were more encouraging and inviting than other drier items, but on the whole it's definitely a perfect text for an introductory course on food history. 3.5 stars. Side Note: I'm well pleased to be finishing all my course books in the month dedicated to non-fiction reading! #books #bookstagram #flandrinandmontanari #foodaculinaryhistory #foodhistory #textbook #coursebook #compendium #variouscontributors #translatedworks #coolcovertoo #nonfictionnovember2016 #november
