Too often in society we follow the masses, as opposed to influencing the masses. One reason I haven't posted as frequently in recent times is because I don't really want to post for the sake of posting. Many people are gaining fame from this platform and others. More often than not, it's to fuel an egotistical mindset. I've even been guilty of this. Little do we realize, if we don't post anything of substance, then our celebrity is forever fleeting. There is a reason we remember the contributions of MLK and Bob Marley, and not so much that of these IG models and those that get short term attention from their antics. Quality over quantity! Most of you are as good as your last post, but some symbols will resonate for all of human existence. @kaepernick7 had one of the largest platforms. He used it to bring light to injustices in America. Because he challenged the status quo, the powers that be made sure he paid with his career. He's a great inspiration and a classic representation of someone with good moral character. You don't have to go along to get along. Additionally, the symbolic nature of taking a knee shows that you don't have to stand for any and every thing. Shout out to @steveaoki as well. He was certainly an inspiration to me when I was a DJ. #boycott #boycottnfl #takeaknee #imwithkap #mikewray #dreamcatcher #coolmike ##djcoolmike
