Rin goes to Fukude Beach, Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture to see the first sunrise of the New Year.
It's part of Japanese culture called Hatsuhinode (初日の出), where they believe the Shinto deity, Toshigami, appears with the year’s first sunrise, and witnessing it is said to bring good fortune and prosperity.

Luffy day
I thought about this for like the longest time but thought it was too good to be true. About like two years ago, when I was ripping textures and adding images to the characters gallery on the fandom, I remember focusing on Kitty-N's page and saw the image of Michael Doi and the random man next to him. I thought to myself, "Is that Hamamatsu?" Of course, we don't know if that's the case since there wasn't information provided of the man (The guidebooks doesn't mention anything about him.) BUT, I'd like to think that it IS Hamamatsu for a couple of reasons. First off, In Hamamatsu's profile, he mentions worrying about the thick hair he has and getting rid of it if he had the yen to do so. With the man being hairless on the photo, it's possible that it could be him after the events of DS2001. Second, in Shogun's (Michael Doi) profile, he states that he respects Hamamatsu and even worrying of him acting cold, possibly towards him (Could mean that Shogun has feelings for him). The photo on the right shows Doi to be blushing next to the man (Again, could mean Michael Doi has a crush on him.) Now, I have my reasons to doubt this theory. Hamamatsu really could've used the Groovetron to remove his thick hair but instead, he used it to obtain a castle. Also, that man is fucking towering Michael Doi lmao (But then again, those platform boots gave Shogun a few inches, so he stood about as tall as Hamamatsu.) It would be cool if that is actually him but I can't have my hopes up lol.
