Have you read any of the Star Wars novels?
I have read sooo many Star Wars novels!
Short Answer -
I've finished: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Padawan, Brotherhood, The Clone Wars, Rogue Planet, and Jedi Quest: Path to Truth
I haven't finished yet: Queen's Hope, Jedi Quest: The Way of the Apprentice, Clone Wars: Wild Space
Long Answer (I got a little rambly and just gave full on book reviews if you want to read them lol) -
My first novel was the entire Prequel trilogy in one big book with a scary Vaderkin on the front so The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
My second one is Padawan by Kiersten White which I love because Padawan Obi-Wan is just as much of a chaotic mess as his Padawan and also how bi and aroace coded he is! I mean I love bi Obi-Wan so so so so much, but as an a-spec person myself, the vibes were there and I loved them! Also nonbinary character Zae-Brii is awesome!!! And the astromech droid A6G2 is nicknamed Aces!!! The ace coding is strong with this one! The story is great too, no spoilers!
Then I read Brotherhood because my favorite time period in all of Star Wars is between Attack of the Clones and the Clone Wars! This did disappoint on some fronts but that's just because I want to see a Star Wars story actually tackle Anakin’s grief after losing his mom and his guilt after the Tusken massacre and also a realistic-ish recovery regarding losing his arm. But this story mentioned each of those things once or twice before moving on and forgetting them completely!!! It is a great story though! Great Anidala moments!!!!! Would recommend!
Then the Clone Wars novelization which I loved because Anakin felt more in character with his movie personality and there is a scene that actually deals with his Tusken massacre guilt so that fed me for like a few minutes before I realized the book was never ever bringing that up again. But the book did help me to comprehend just how rough the battles of Cristophsis and Teth were because the movie just kinda doesn't feel as serious you know? I know it's for kids, but I didn't realize just how many clones they lost until I read the book.
I read Rogue Planet which disappointed me, but it was still really cute! The chapter lengths are so inconsistent! I just couldn't with how one chapter was literally (I was counting) THIRTY PAGES LONG, and the next chapter was four pages long... And it started to lose me right about the time Anakin and Obi-Wan got side tracked from the mission and started building their own sentient ship because that's a thing they were doing apparently??? I did enjoy the "I BURN LIKE A SUN" part. I don't know, I guess how much you'll like it depends on what you're looking for in a story...
I read Jedi Quest: Path to Truth (I ordered it on Better World Books because the Amazon listing for it is literally $100!!!! And on BWB it was only $6...) and it was a fun read! Lots of stuff happened that didn't make much sense because I didn't read Jedi Apprentice, but it was still enjoyable. Baby Anakin is always enjoyable!
Then I got Queen's Hope and I read the first half of the book and kinda lost interest... It's a good book, it just doesn't have enough of the kind of content I'm into to hold my attention lol. I understand that it's a book about Padme and her handmaidens, but I came for Skyberrie/Anidala and Sister!!! The Anidala moments are great but not enough for me! I will never be satisfied it seems... And I haven't made it to Sister, but I will read on for her!!!!
I'm also currently reading Jedi Quest: The Way of the Apprentice, but I haven't read past chapter three yet. School got in the way but I will finish it!
And finally, I'm reading Clone Wars: Wild Space because I wanted more Ahsoka content and it actually started out once again giving me post-aotc content regarding Anakin's recovery and his grief over his mom and I was vibing for three chapters. Then chapter four came and took us to post-Christophsis and forgot all about Anakin's problems. From Obi-Wan's POV the book even says something to the effect of "Anakin was upset and filled with rage for a few weeks, but now he's all better and nothing hurts yay!!!" I'm paraphrasing, but it's the same vibe lol. And Anakin is so mean to Ahsoka! He never wants to even be in the same room as her!! Like what? They're supposed to be friends why don't they like each other???
