Do you know about cooncomics? All of them are wonderful and funny!
I do!! I see them occasionally, but I don’t want to reblog every single strip they’ve ever made, otherwise it’d get really cluttered around here :)
Check out this great comic here!
Never need to ask this question when I’m around. It’s me.
I happened.
STICKERS!!!!!!!
My favorite thing about @cooncomic will always be the reaching hands in the bottom left corner. I always love the strips, but just those hands crack me the hell up.
Go look @cooncomic though they're great.
Ben drew me Coon from SimKaye's comic CoonComic. I love being a part of her Patreon family! True feels here. I do not own Coon! Coon belongs to SimKaye: https://www.patreon.com/simkaye/posts #CoonComic #coon #SimKaye #fanart #Iloveit #raccoon
Coon is another autobiographical comic I like to read whenever I need a good chuckle or just want to enjoy some lovely art. It is sort of a slice-of-life kind story, telling the artist and writers internal dialogue and daily adventures. Occasionally we’ll see her real-life friends make appearances as animal likenesses as well, showing all sort of personalities and quirks that are sometimes hilarious and other time relatable.
Once again there isn’t really a story here to critique, as it is a person’s life written down, albeit written in a humorous way. As mentioned there are relatable moments that anyone can feel, while other times there are moments from the artist's life that are her own. It’s fun to see someones day to day personified as a raccoon, adds a fun twist, in my opinion.
The art is completely in black and white, done in pen and ink no less! It has this newspaper comic strip feel to it, which I really love. The expressions, body language, and comedic execution of the everyday are very well done, showing that humor can be found anywhere from simple mundane activities to little accidents.
While not very long, since it updates every other Saturday, Coon is a comic I’ll definitely be revisiting for the foreseeable future. It’s funny in great ways, relatable in the best ways, and just down write beautifully drawn. Give it a read, let me know what you think.
And, as always, I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
