Family camping at Letchworth State Park,

The Material World of Wes Anderson explores the meticulously designed objects from his 9 films. I tried to have a mix of obvious to obscure to make the guessing more fun. I’ll post up 3 from one film each day and have answers and an explanation for the previous day’s objects. As a refresher his flims in chronological order are: Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs.
Answers: Moonrise Kingdom - Fig.16: Kara Hayward’s binoculars. Fig.17: Jared Gilman’s coonskin cap. Fig.18: Kara Kayward’s Barrington battery powered record player used for dancing on the beach and more. And yes vinyl dorks I know the song playing during this scene is Françoise Hardy and the record shown spinning is obviously a Capital Records vinyl and Hardy was never on their record label, but that’s how he shot it and it goes to show Mr. Anderson’s need for every aesthetic detail to be just so.
Tune in for more tomorrow!
