🐾 🥳 🎈We couldn't let this day go by without acknowledging two special birthdays today! Cooper was born on this day, back 2007 ...he (and our FIRST dachshund, Slinky) are the reason that our little handmade business got started, completely by accident and just for fun and ironically we opened our Etsy shop on August 3, 2016. A nine year old boy and his homeschooling mom thought it would be "fun" to make and sell homemade dog treats on Etsy, especially since Slinky loved them. His older sister ( owner of: @shelbyjaneandco/ seamstress extraordinaire) thought it was a great idea to whip up a slide-on dog bandana made from her fabric scraps and the rest is history! One and a half years ago, we were so busy making bandanas that I was able to quit my full time job of 16 years as a director/manager at a wedding venue and concentrate full-time on what was then called Cooper and Slinkys. Flash forward to June 2019 and we had a full rebranding, as we found out cookies weren't really our niche and we needed to focus on not only dogs, but cats as well.
