COPAN, CULTURA MAYA, HONDURAS
Fotografia aérea da região central de São Paulo em 1964, com destaque para o Edifício Copan em plena construção.
Mayan stele from the Copan ruins in Honduras of the Ruler 18-Rabbit (Uaxaclajuun Ubʼaah Kʼawiil) wearing sandals, anklets, a luxurious loin-cloth, long earrings and a lofty headdress with the mask of the Sun God (Kinich Ahau) at the top. The figure is shown ritually communicating with a deified ancestor.
Copan, Honduras: Copán is an ancient Mayan city that gave its name to the present-day city of Copán Ruinas, as well as to the capital (Santa Rosa de Copán) of the department of Copán, located in the westernmost part of Honduras. The archaeological site of Copán is located in the middle of the jungle, which was not excavated until the 19th century. Wikipedia
