during my travels last week, i scribbled into this folded piece of paper to keep myself sane

(the man in the top right corner of the first pic was a cute lil old fella i saw at a museum. he looked so similar to fids, i had to jot him down as quickly and discretely as i could. he even had the same hair color, right down to his greying temples!)

Ok but imagine Frank teasing JP and telling him that the JP /really/ stands for Jigglypuff.

THAT IS- YOU ARE BRILLIANT. I love that! And I think JP would love that too, since he loves soft, cute, pink things. GCBC would insist that “no yer name doesn’t mean Jigglypuff Frank is messin with yeh” But it would be a thing for Frank to call him Jigglypuff all the time. That is just perfect.

Couple copbots questions: how do you pronounce Saffwan and Onnyx? And 2: does J.P. stand for anything?

Certainly! Saffwan is like saying Staff (without the t) and Wan (like Obi-Wan), with “Wan” being the longer part you pronounce. Onnyx is just like Onix from pokemon. JP stands for John-Paul.

got any headcanons on gcbc's adorable squad?

Oh yes! <3 One headcanon I’ve been having fun with recently is where Saffwan finds a kitten on a recon mission and brings it back to the hq. GCBC allows Saffwan to keep it as long as he takes full responsibility for it. The kitten becomes the center of attention and the recipient of much cuddling from the rest of the squad. And Saffwan turns out to be an exceptionally good caretaker for the little beast.

IT’S PERFECT DON’T YOU DARE SAY THAT EVER i mean i haven’t even divulged the depths of my obsession with these bots and their different personalities- what you wrote was FANTASTIC and I love it so much!

I esp adore how you wrote Frank, he does have those inner conflicts you described so well. He has the deepest understanding of humans among the bots, but is still frustrated by their overcomplexity. And JP as the chair boy YES! And Onnyx being the first to start cleaning YES YES he is the most collected and calm of the bots- he would act first when it comes to cleaning. I LOVE YOU.

Hey, I was wondering if you every actually gave the Cop Bots names? Originally I was assuming -because you named one of them Frank- that you were going to name them after the Police Phonetic Alphabet. But then you named one JP, so I was wondering what their names were?

Oh my yes, I have named the rest! I’m delighted that you’re interested!

Okay, here’s my robo squad lineup: Onnyx (goggles/bald two-eyed bot), Frank (beanie cyclops bot), Saffwan (beanie two-eyed bot), and JP (ball cap/bald cyclops bot).

More Robo Squad Headcanons: Octan "Beerteries"

Big batteries the size of beer cans, refreshing and exhilarating for robots. Like licking a strong C battery; generates a little spark that can be flavored. Voltage strengths are like alcohol proofs- higher numbers make for a stronger zap. Makes a buzzing sound when used. A glowing line along the side shrinks down with each "sip."

 GCBC tried one once- he got electrocuted and burned his tongue. The bots were horrified because he passed out immediately. Afraid they had killed him, they desperately attempted to revive GCBC and succeeded. When GCBC woke up, the squad apologized profusely, but he only asked for some ice for his tongue. They brought him buckets and buckets of ice.
