ZOOPLANKTON ESTIMATION IN KHANWARI POND OF DISTRICT KAUSHAMBI (U.P.) | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
The present research deals with the study of seasonal changes in zooplankton density and diversity in Khanwari pond, Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh. The study was carried out from January to December, 2019, for a period of one year. A total of 24 zooplankton genera have been described, belonging to 13 families and 5 classes. 8 were Rotifers, 7 were Cladocerans, 5 were Copepods, 2 were Ostracodans, and 2 were Ciliates, out of 24 genera. The annual density showed that 42.77 percent of the total zooplankton population was dominated by Rotifers, followed by Cladocerans (32.77 percent), Copepods (12.97 percent), Ciliates (6.00 percent) and Ostracodansan (5.49 percent ).
