Substantial Evidence -- [Copink]
@tink-bell
It had been a few days since Copper had visited with Tod, and in that time--Esmeralda had come back, which had thrown him for a loop, he’d been stuck singing for a whole day, and, no matter how hard he tried...he couldn’t find anything even remotely suspicious about Taka. He’d even considered calling that fucker Adamson kid down into the station to have a little chat with him, since he was really the only Fey’s Gold lead they had.
But, he knew that Taka, as one of the most powerful men in town, probably had eyes everywhere--even if he wasn’t as shady as Tod made him out to be, and definitely if he was as shady as Tod made him out to be. Copper was still on the fence, but, he had his nose to the ground now, and he wouldn’t rest until the hunch was either disproven or proven. Whichever the case may be. It was his responsibility to follow up.
And, Miss Tink, well, she was as good of a lead as any. Not to mention that getting in contact with her wouldn’t look suspicious to any eyes out there. They were--tentative friends, they had a history that could be tracked, not to mention, Tod and Tink lived together, and everyone in town knew of Tod and Copper’s connection. She was a safe leading point.
Best part of all: she may actually have something useful. Something substantial.
So, Copper got to the spot where they were meeting and scanned the crowd, looking for that familiar blonde hair (or maybe green, or purple, or who the hell knows.)
