So! They're tape recorders and the tape itself! Like their narrative role in Detective Conan (and a lot of other media where the protagonist isn't a cop) they do much of the recording of statements and evidence, which they then can exposit to the protagonist(s) who actually puts things together and solves stuff.
(They would probably have a second "page" of check text, but I'll probably save it for the second stage of presentation.)
This above is the generic version! Like Snoopin, I might make some "special versions" that can appear in the overworld as NPCs, sorry to those who voted for this expecting representations of the individual cop characters, haven't done those yet. (they probably won't appear in battle. Too many cops in Detective Conan for me to make satisfying team-ups. Too many variables to consider!)
Hm... should I wait to present this part of it... Nah, lets do it!
This above is a version of it you get if you use a certain act! Like with using "Blaze" on Balthizard and how you get different attacks if Mizzle is asleep.
You can spare/pacify them in both states, so like in chapter 4 you can choose what kind of attacks you like dodging more (how I used the Mizzle and Balthizard state-changes at least). And you can turn 'em back into the original form with a certain act.
State-changes are kinda a gimmick with most of the enemies in Cold Casement actually. (Snoopin also has one... well kinda. Depends on how you count!)
(I put a pun explanation thing below Snoopin, so I guess I'll do it here too! The name is based on is "compact" from "compact cassette", the most common type of audio cassette. Then there's of course "copper" as slang for "cop", and a misspelled "act"; because they're only acting the role of cops in the Dark World, they're not actually cops! It's the act that slips off when they get into their other form.)
