My colleagues @bediuniversal , @elizabethpuranam and few others went to file TV reports on the drought from Hathkarwadi village in Beed . News agency Reuters say , “Beed is among the eight districts in Maharshtra where poor rainfall has ravaged crops, dried up reservoirs and forced people to migrate from their villages”. Vijay Bedi photographed these 2 men who despite their hardship looked amazingly positive and happy with each other. In this village where water scarcity has forced the young of the village to leave-the life for the elders have been a real struggle. I drew these two senior citizens of Beed because they looked positive and they have a happy smile. Used a #crowquill nib on acid free bamboo paper.
