Burgerim West Hollywood Grand Opening Event with
Cops 4 Causes A Huge Success
Neighborhood Welcomes Inspiring Food Company That Promises to Give Back to the Community
Los Angeles, CA (April 1, 2013) – International phenomenon Burgerim hosted their grand opening event, which launched their first U.S. location in West Hollywood this past Saturday, March 30th, 2013. Burgerim, a Tel Aviv burger restaurant owned by Dana Tochner, opened up an impressive 72 locations within the first year of operation in Israel. Their event opening was also to support the joined efforts of Burgerim with Cops 4 Causes to combat community issues, such as homelessness.
The grand opening event kicked off with red carpet arrivals, including actor Andre Darnell Myers from “Leave it on the Floor”, as well as other talent, and contributors and supporters of Burgerim and Cops 4 Causes. Invited guests sampled the variety of burgers that were being passed around by staff, which included signature beef, Kobe, Mergez beef, lamb, ahi tuna, chicken, turkey, and veggie. Guests were also allowed to sample their specialty burgers, including their “Revolution Burger” which is a mixture of their Kobe and Mergez beef, or “The Mediterranean Burger” which is a combination of the Mergez beef and Lamb (http://burgerimusa.com/menu/). While everyone enjoyed music, delicious food and drinks served by Burgerim, Deputy Sherrif Christopher Landavazo, who helped partner Burgerim with Cops 4 Causes as their Founder, announced the amazing work that Burgerim had begun doing in the community.
Burgerim’s partnership with Cops 4 Causes for their grand opening helped promote Cops 4 Causes’ “Hand Up” program, one of many, which helps to reduce homelessness in West Hollywood. Cops 4 Causes has successfully launched an initiative to partner law enforcement, the business community, and residents in the communities they serve to create a compassionate approach to helping people who are homeless. Burgerim, helped this initiative at their heavily attended grand opening event by donating a $2,000 check to People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), Vet Hunters, and The LA Gay & Lesbian Youth Center on Highland. These organizations partnered with Cops 4 Causes to provide transitional services to help people who are homeless transition from the streets to stable living conditions.
In addition to partnering with Cops 4 Causes, Burgerim also helped the community by hiring the staff of the former business that stood where they are now opened in West Hollywood and helping employees who were hurt by the economy. It is Burgerim’s hope to continue opening throughout the U.S. with as much success as was had in Israel. They plan to continue efforts to help support community needs, specific to each neighborhood they open within.
Burgerim is located at 8593 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90046. To get involved with Cops 4 Causes, please visit www.cops4causes.org.
