Book binding to make a travel journal. On one of my regular pinterest browsing sessions I came across book binding using words and needed an excuse to give it a go. So a travel journal it was, I had been thinking of buying a notepad for the purpose, so decided why not make one! I made the cover by collaging thick card with a mixture of vintage maps and travel images, with some help from coffee and tea staining. I then folded and layered paper for inside and then began the binding. There's plenty of video tutorials on you tube if you fancy giving it a go, this is called Coptic book binding, but there are lots of different methods.
