Took an accidental hiatus from Instagram (thanks grad school 😒), but I’m back and a working on a few new and old stories that I’d like to share Spent my Halloween with City Council (D45) Green Party candidate Anthony Beckford while he handed out candy to trick-or-treaters and campaigned at Flatbush Junction. I met Beckford at the vigil for Nicholas Heyward Jr., a teenage boy who was shot and killed by the NYPD more than 20 years ago. Beckford was born and raised in Brooklyn and is an activist, cop-watcher, and former marine.
