Components: V, S, M (a block of clay at least 3 inches on each side, consumed in the casting)

Duration: 1 hour

Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard

You identify a corporeal source of magic within range, copying its form and molding the clay in your hand to take its appearance. Choose a magical item within range worth less than 5,000 gp that doesn’t require attunement. The clay in your hand becomes a functional copy of that item, with all the same abilities as the item itself. At the end of the spell’s duration, the clay crumbles to dust, losing all of its magical properties. If the copy is of an item with a number of charges, it has the same number of charges as the original, and you do not automatically know the number of charges in the item. If the item runs out of charges, the spell ends, and the clay crumbles as normal.

It took me awhile to work out how to make this spell into something balanced, while still keeping the essence of the card intact. I’ve used this spell myself before, and let me tell you, from the DM side it works out great. I’ll have one of my players test it themselves some day soon.

Also, the art I used for this card is apparently an MTGO exclusive art for the card, done by the wonderful Magali Villeneuve. I’ve always been a fan of her work, and most of you may know her from doing the art for both Narsets, the new Jaya Ballard planeswalker, or the Painter’s Servant masterpiece. But let me tell you, she also does wonderful art for both GoT and LotR, as well as dozens of other things. Seriously, I can’t stress enough that you should go check out her work!
