Hello, students of Sunrise! Headmaster-ß here with some very exciting information! As you may have already heard, this upcoming spring break, we’ll be sending you off to enjoy a totally awesome vacation! After studying so hard, you all deserve it! And, don’t worry, there won’t be any spring break homework.
And now for the information you’ve all been waiting for: where exactly are you going to be going? What will you be doing once you get there?
You’ll be taken to stay at the St. Marvel’s Castle! It’s located within the outermost region of the country, surrounded by lush nature and having a rich history. A war took place here long ago, between two kingdoms; and only one castle remained in the end (what better place for Sunrise to stay than the victor’s kingdom?)! It has since been refurbished enough to become a tourist location, and the family that lives there rents out rooms to guests to experience the castle and it’s history.
Students will get to stay in rooms within the castle itself-- there are rooms that can accommodate 2-4 students each! Students can choose to room with friends, or even simply stick with their current roommate. You’re required to upkeep your room, there’s no maids! The castle itself has a large banquet hall, where students will be provided their regular meals.
Exploring the castle will take a few days in itself, depending on how in-depth students choose to go! Keep in mind, though, there are restricted areas that are prohibited, all for your own safety. We wouldn’t want you getting locked in the dungeon, now would we?
The courtyards are extensive, adorned with greenery. There are multiple gardens to spend time in and walk along, and there’s even a hedge maze in the back! Just don’t get too lost! Finally, there are stables where the castle keeps their horses, and you’re free to visit them as you’d like!
There are a multitude of things you can do while here! Different activities will be hosted, and you’re free to attend them as you please! Or, if you’d rather just use the free time to sleep in and hang around, that’s fine as well.
ASTRE CAVE:
Within the mountains near the castle are the Astre cave. Students will have the opportunity to bus to these caves and spend a day walking through and exploring them! The Astre caves can be tedious to get through: they’re damn and dark as you walk through, and can be a bit eerie, too. If you don’t like underground spaces, this might not be for you! However, there’s a set path to help guide you, and reaching the end is highly rewarding: an underground lake, surrounded by beautiful crystals will prove worth the trek.
SHRINE RUINS:
The castle is surrounded by a forest, untouched by modern hand. A natural path leads up to the ruins of a shrine, supposedly where the kingdom’s family went to pray to their deity’s before battle. The shrine has since deteriorated, but is still available to explore. The hike is a long one, but full of scenic stops that include the view from the mountain. If you’re up for a hike, this will definitely be something you’d want to do!
CASTLE ARCHIVES:
One of the largest rooms in the castle is the archives: two floors of books and artifacts pertaining to the castle’s history, including weapons used by the soldiers during the war. Everything shown was preserved and is carefully watched over by the castle’s family, kept within display cases throughout the archives. They even have suits of armor out on display to look at, and mock-up creations that you can try on!
CITY WANDERING:
If you’re not so much into nature hikes, the city itself that the castle belongs to is worthy of walking through! There’s a ton of vintage stores, and plenty of different cafes that are family-owned and worth dining in.
We’ll be departing next Saturday, on the 2nd! Get your things packed, and do not save it all for the night before! Spend your time wisely, each activity is held multiple days, so you could do each one! We hope you enjoy your time here, whether it’s staying in the castle and relaxing or exploring one of the natural sights around it.

It’s been an incredibly long semester, but spring break is right around the corner! This isn’t going to be the average spring break, though. This year, Sunrise and Sunset Universities are going to be sending their students on vacation! It’s important to relax and have fun, and there’s no better way to do that than to travel to unknown territory~!
Each school will be traveling to different locations, hand picked by the headmasters themselves. Both will stay in exotic locations, and have opportunity to explore the cities in the surrounding areas. Students will also have multiple activities they can participate in around the area they’ll be traveling to! But, in the end, how everyone spends their time is up to them! Whatever you plan on doing, make the time count. You’ve earned it!
Locations and activities are posted to their respective school blogs, where the headmasters will expand on information about the trips! You can find the posts here: Sunrise || Sunset.
Here it is: COR’s second official event! Because, we’d all love to attend a school that provides vacations, yea? Anyways! As stated above, further expansion is done on both of the schools’ blogs! The event officially begins next weekend, when students will ‘depart’ from Soleil and head out to their different locations (don’t save all your packing for the night before)!
The event lasts two weeks (the ‘spring break’in group canon lasts one, but we’d like to give you all more time to thread!). Threads can range from the traveling itself, casually exploring the destinations, participating in designated activities, or lounging around the respective hotels! Really, it’s up to you all how the characters will spend their vacation time. There’s tons to do, so take advantage of this.
As usual, the event is not mandatory, and you may resume your normal threads as usual. But, it’s highly recommended you participate, as the trip is group-canon (besides, who’d miss the opportunity for a paid vacation?)! You’ll have a week to ‘prepare’, and hype up to the trip. If there’s any questions, feel free to ask! The modblog will make an official post when the event has started.
Threads may begin on midnight of the 2nd! We hope you all have fun with this, and enjoy this event! Once it’s started, please tag your event threads as #cor e!02!
