She is a romantic at heart, though it is only ever directed towards Aurelia. Vampirism did nothing to change that, and has only made her romantic gestures even more dramatic. Leone is someone who will pull out all of the stops for her wife because it is what she deserves. Currently, her worldview is a bit incongruent with Aurelia's, but it's the thought that counts!

He is appreciative of the little moments and tries not to take things for granted. Since he has gotten sick, Kevin has had to readjust his expectations and physical limitations, understanding that there are experiences he won't be able to have again. He never thought he would miss being able to run. His world has narrowed dramatically simply due to the fact that much of society isn't accessible, so he has learned to appreciate the things that he can still do.

They struggle with the title and the role, that much is evident for anyone who looks at them, but Arte also knows that if there's ever a threat or problem, they would be the first one to defend the pack with their life. Isn't that also part of being a leader? "I'm still... there's stuff I h-have to learn but--" They chew on the inside of their cheek, tongue running against the rough seam of their scars. "I protect them. That's... that's s-step one. I'm still learning t-the rest."

"I... oh." That wasn't the question that Jac was expecting to hear. Her mouth shuts and she stares hard at an empty spot on the wall. "Not... not right now," she says slowly. "Maybe one day." It's too raw right now, the guilt sits too heavy on her chest. That night haunts her every time she closes her eyes, and forgiveness is something that has to be earned. What has she done to earn it? "But not yet."

"Of course she is. Do you think I would care this much if she wasn't worth it?" Kiri brushes off the notion like it's ridiculous. It's another reminder that people rarely understand the depth of her bond with Laure. There is jealousy and rage and anguish, every emotion under the sun when she thinks about her wife, but she is the reason Kiri truly understands the beauty of life. Before, she had been sleepwalking, focused on a singular ambition, but Laure taught her how to live in the moment, so she could actually feel each one. It's incomparable what her life is without her. "We are immortal. if she wants to have a human plaything for a few years, well, it's no different than letting her adopt from the shelter, is it not? Eventually she'll die, and Laure may find another, but I will remain the constant."

Respect, because it can't be easy being 1) a woman in any sort of law enforcement position and 2) visibly disabled on top of that, but then Arleen opened her mouth and Riley was reminded why they don't fuck with cops.

But if Riley had to pick, then at least they'd pick someone who understands wolf brain over someone who doesn't.
