Definitely wasn't used to hearing that in response to his wisdom pieces. Most of the time, people showed varying degrees of reactions --- most of which riddled with disapproval or confusion; and to that, he mostly replied with further anger or aggression. ...Depending on who it was, of course.
So for someone to suddenly show appreciation (whether genuinely or sarcastically didn't matter for now), held enough of an impact to have the hulk freeze, stopping his speech as his nigh-disbelief showed clear on his face; turning towards the manager (she was assumed to be a manager, most waiters and waitresses at least had some semblance of a uniform on) with a glint in his eye, before smiling stupidly; reciting yet another of his ideas, with newfound enthusiasm.
