To start off 2026, here's a cozy scene of Aster and Coralde
i love being goated
what coldr (prime-psi or cataclysm-cradlelands continuities) character could eat the most spicy chicken wings, assuming they're using the mango habanero sauce (which is noticeably spicy, but not drop-dead spicy)?
i mean, i know both reausomes probably could so u could list them but mainly of the characters who use coldr and not hotr
Aside from the Reausomes and other -omes, hmm...
Aster would claim she could handle it but would heavily regret her decision.
Coralde and other -raldes in general handle it the worst by far. (This also includes Ercos.) In a cartoon they'd explode.
Ophiur would survive it. Maybe even like it a bit, but it's probably not her favorite food.
Anemone might be able to do it if she's convinced it would make Coralde or Enivine happy somehow. Otherwise, no.
Carcinos would like it. Kind of cheating since she's technically a HotR user but she has no HotR resistance or anything.
Hydra would be able to eat it but she'd turn red from the spiciness.
Dolla handles it fine, with a bit of difficulty.
Lancelet wouldn't and she'd be a bit embarassed about it.
At first Penn seems like he can handle it perfectly, but then he takes just a little too much and he just figuratively dies.
Lybia can stomach it surprisingly well. Not a ColdR user though.
Cataclysm characters in general can do well (unless they're Cluas; Ophione doesn't dies to spicy food but this is a level above what she can take), though it depends on the day.
The Berg (from the Contracts continuity) would try her best but eventually the mountain would fall.
If the character isn't listed they're either a fire user who would resist it (so not interesting) or doesn't handle it at all.
for new years i bring... gay women
any random hcs on your coldr goobers?
i mean my coldr hcs would basically be canon wouldnt they...
Here's some silly facts, though:
Aster and Coralde sometimes go in the woods with a notebook and take notes on bugs and other similar invertebrate critters they find.
Aster posts on social media a lot, and frequently gets into arguments (political or otherwise) since she's very opinionated.
Coralde has learned how to cook some rudimentary things, mostly because she's a very picky eater and doesn't want to make Aster's parents work too much, but for the large part she just takes whatever Aster's parents cook or heats leftovers if they fit her tastes.
Reausome likes to eat very spicy foods since she's essentially desensitized to burns.
When I said Aster frequently gets in arguments I meant with Reausome. /hj, but she does probably argue with her the most.
Phoron's father set up an indoors swimming pool that she can sleep and relax in (given her underwater breathing is better than her aboveground one).
Ophiur was once invited to a Clua family dinner via Aster via Coralde and met Anemone there. Now she occasionally visits her to check up on her. (This one is kind of cheating since it's actually kind of extremely important but it's fun to have on the record)
Speaking of Anemone, she owns a pet tarantula.
Most of the Cluas (minus ones who live away from the family like Coralde) have their food be prepared by butlers, or they go to high-class restaurants. Anemone's actually taught herself how to cook however because she's too self-sacrificing to call the butler (and this is assuming she is not the one acting as the butler in question which can happen)
sekaiju - do regular animals exist in sekaiju's universe? there are many creatures that are deemed predators (though there ARE very animalistic creatures anyways, such as DuneGluttons), but what are they preying on? if there ARE regular animals, what do the Regular Animal Creatures think of the Regular Animals
coldr - every coralde variant is put against eachother...in a smash bros match. who wins?
general - what's your favorite animal
Sekaiju - The question of predation has been the subject of several discussions even amongst us devs since it'd be pretty weird for sapient creatures to be eating other sapient creatures - and even if it were to happen you'd think there'd be a lot more shunning. One idea that's been thrown as a solution is that regular, non-sapient fish do exist.
ColdR - Well, if you consider powerscaling - oh wait, smash. Astralde camps for the whole match and wins because of it, after which Astralde is physically thrown out of the room by one of the less tolerant Coraldes.
General - Springtails, probably! Bouncing goobers that are not actually insects.
A year later, how my characters changed - Coralde
Coralde's another character that has changed a fair bit. She's gotten a lot bulkier, and rather than a blaster carries around a single, heavy, blunt blade-like slab. It's outfitted with ColdR-based jets, through, letting her pull off all sorts of cool moves.
Appearances aside, she's gotten a bit more stoic. Her actual backstory hasn't changed much, though there is less emphasis on her being an ice sculptor now - though, she remains an artistically-inclined person. She lives alongside Aster at her family's house, assisting her in her environmental and scientific endeavors alike.
The Gifted Generation... doesn't really affect Coralde's character much, as she in fact already had superhuman abilities! What gave her those abilities in the first place is just more widespread now...
She has two main abilities, besides generally increased strength - one of which she has yet to learn about, but the other of which is the Reflex Eye, which slows down her perception of time when she or a loved one is threatened, allowing her to react faster.
