One year. Seriously? One year here. In this little, cozy and crazy virtual cave full of spells, silly things and first of all, friendship. Just a way of fun became an opportunity to meet new people, find friends, grow up and improve myself. I don’t want to like cheesy, I don’t want to seem like an overacting screaming crazy lil’ ball of squeals (of course I am!) so let me be honest and humble. Thanks, my dearies. Turning on his heels, Ben left the kitchen with a sigh. Not caring to change the scowl on his face, he shifted his gaze towards the door. Fully expecting one of his regulars, he was taken aback to see a gorgeous brunette in a yellow sundress and sneakers smiling awkwardly at him.
“Rey?” He asked, stopping dead in his tracks.
Shifting her weight nervously from one foot to another, Rey focused her hazel eyes on Ben’s hardened face. Instantly she regretted her decision to stop by the bakery. He didn’t look too happy to see her. She couldn’t blame him with the way she had ended things.
“I…uh…sorry. This was a mistake…I shouldn’t have…uh…yeah. I’m sorry, Ben,” she said, reaching back for the door.
Gawking at Rey, Ben shook his head. Walking towards her, he softened his features in an effort to calm her worries. It was clear that she thought he was still mad at her. She needed to know that anger was the furthest thing from how he was feeling.
“No, stay,” he said, lifting his hand as if to calm a spooked animal. “Please…just stay.”
Swallowing hard, Rey nodded. She was hoping he would say that. “Alright,” she said, her smile returning.
OMG my first fic in years! Just a quick one shot that I *had* to write after I stumbled upon REN Bakery and Espresso Bar (yeah, its real) while on a mini vacay a few weeks ago. Bakery owner!Ben is trying to pick up the pieces of his life when Heartbreaker!Rey pays him a surprise visit. But basically…it’s just smut. Fluffy smut, but smut nonetheless.
