Personality

Corbie is quite jovial, but can also be very rude and blunt. They have a bit of a thieving streak, as well. He loses interest in people quickly unless they really capture his attention. If you don't shine in some aspect, they don't have time for you. An interesting appearance is the easiest way to catch Corbie's attention, but an interesting personality keeps him there. They're very proud of their appearance themselves, and spend a good amount of time grooming their wings before going out. Corbie's friends, however one-sided the friendship may be, will find themselves showered in compliments and small trinkets as signs of his affection. (The items may or may not be stolen. Please carefully check Corbie gifts for initials or nametags and return them to their proper owners)

Background

Corbie grew up in a sizable fae town near the edge of the Valley of Thorns with their mother. When he was younger, a group of humans attacked the town, and he was separated from his mother in the following skirmish. They wandered deeper into the Valley until they were found by Malleus while on the brink of starvation, and then promptly 'adopted' by Lilia when brought back to him. Corbie has pledged his life to protecting those who saved him, but still searches for any sign of his mother.

Unique Magic

Corbie's unique magic is called 'Roll Off The Feathers'. When active, Corbie is immune to magic attacks, excluding most unique magics. It can only be active for around 15 minutes at a time.

Trivia

Corbie's name comes from the English folk ballad 'The Three Ravens' or 'Twa Corbies'

His unique magic is a reference to how water 'rolls off' the feathers of birds should they get wet

They own several items that upon purchase were said to be cursed. They were dismayed to find that the curses were not, in fact, real

He's had a crush on almost everyone in Night Raven at some point or another

The fae pouts and crosses his arms. "You're trying to stump me, aren’t you? There's no way I'll be able to pick a 'most romantic' out of all the gifts I've given! Things I've gotten, however... Vil found a pair of clover earrings that match my mother's barrette, and told me that this way I could wear a piece of her everywhere without worrying about the barrette being damaged..."

1. Corbie's normal bubbly personality becomes either more subdued or amplified around his love interests. If the person of interest has a similar personality to them, it becomes a feedback loop of good vibes and hype. If the person is more laid-back, Corbie calms down, enjoying the quiet moments and just being with them.

10. Corbie likes personalities that are loud or demand attention. Cheerful, regal, delinquent, as long as it's interesting, he's interested!
