Re-Purposed WIP --- After The Ch 3 Nightmare Sequence

There were faint noises happening over her head. Slight growls, warbles, and a low continuous sort of purring, Aislinn’s eyes fluttering open and closed as she tried to take stock. There were moving blobs of color on a dark backdrop, it taking a moment before her vision cleared and made the whole thing make some kind of sense. Firstly, Corcra had climbed on top of her and was purring, burying his face into the side of her head. Huggy was, not far away, though he’d definitely backed off a bit, looking around them. Staying on guard. Small flickers of color hinted at Bui, Liath, and Dubh huddled in close to Huggy’s somewhat crouched form. It was kind of funny to see, he almost looked like a mother cat with kittens.

Umbrella enby identitys

Corcra: Any gender that exists between man and woman. Derived from the Gaelic word for purple, the distinct colour created by mixing red and blue.

Viridis: Any gender that exists between man and maverique. Derived from the Latin word for green, the distinct colour created by mixing blue and yellow.

Narancia: Any gender that exists between woman and maverique. Derived from the Italian root word for orange, the distinct colour created by mixing red and yellow.

--- I write, and as an enby person- apora, (maverique)- I find I give a fair amount of thought to the gender of my characters. As such I have coined the previous as umbrella terms to describe area’s between genders. Use them- or don’t- as you will.

Note: Maverique is a specific gender identity defined as being neither binary gender, nor relating to the gender binary in any way. 

If you think of gender in terms of colour, with red and blue being man and woman, maverique would be yellow. A primary colour in it’s own right.

(Apora is an umbrella term for maverique spectrum genders, similar to the relation between woman and trans feminine for example.)

P.S. If you personally define these words differently then I have-- just wanna let you know that that’s cool and say that you’re valid. No one needs to conform exactly to another persons definition because we’re all fundamentally different from each other.
