Back in the early 2000′s, did anyone’s high school offer a track of math classes called CORE math? If so, do any of you know how it matches up compared to Common Core?
do any of yall happen to know any children who are in elementary school right now? if so have you seen the bullshit that is core math? it’s the most ridiculous thing ive ever seen in my life. instead of just subtracting/adding/carrying the one ect they have to solve these simple problems and then they have to create this chart that has all these meaningless bubbles in it, and they’re expected to do this under a severe time restraint. like problems that should take 10 seconds are now taking 10 minutes and its 100% not applicable in real life.
and now they’re also forcing elementary school kids to do timed writings on tests in which they need to become and expert on something and use all these writing techniques that i didn’t even learn until my junior year AP english class.
ive never seen such a farce in all my life, and they wonder why kids are failing and hate school
