What's the difference between hot and cold?
hot |hät| adjective ( hotter , hottest ) 1. having a high degree of heat or a high temperature
cold |kōld| adjective 1. of or at a low or relatively low temperature
The difference between these two can be explained through temperature and physical feeling. Many humans, and a multitude of androids, are able to detect the difference between hot and cold.
Hypothetically, if you were to walk into an Emergency Intelligence Incinerator, your pain sensors and internal thermometer would alert you that it is very, very hot. Similarly, a cryogenic freezer would alert you that it is uncomfortably cold via temperatures and physical sensations.
