I finished my first chapter! Well, sort of. I might go back and add more encounters and it needs some cleaning up but it's written down in it's first form :-)

So I played with a lot of possible color schemes for her outfit, but I think I’ve finally settled on this. So hey look, it’s everyone’s favorite feline Sword Mage Delvanna! Lineart by @xiphosuras colors and some edits by me.

After all the different ‘skins’ i played with before settling on this, I couldn’t resist having one Alternate:

CupcakeCreature did free little headshot sketches for anyone who got a full illustration from in her last round of commissions, so I asked her to draw Delvanna, and then I threw some quick colors on her!

The gang needs to infiltrate a fancy party. Warren and Nori will pose as wait staff, Warren had experience and a Yolani servant is a common sight, and Nori can be unassuming if need be. Delvanna and Elsan however are a bit more noticeable and would likely draw questions from other staff. So instead they have to go the unsubtle route and enter the party as Guests, however that means fancy formal dress for them both, something that neither of them are familiar or comfortable with. Elsan may be very confident in herself and her body, hell she often fights half-naked, but dignified parties are a far cry from a fighting ring or battlefield, and light flowy silks (the only thing they'll be able to find in time that can be made to fit her large frame) make her feel exposed. Delvanna is more familiar with formal events, but she always attended them as the Son of a High Ranking Nobel, never as woman. This would be one of the first times she's ever had to be 'Pretty' and 'Ladylike', something she is far from confident as, and she fears that she won't really Pass and will only elicit awkward looks (on top of the many looks they are already going to get as a Telk and Rhokosh at a mostly Human party). Elsan and Delvanna prepare together, both nervous, but attempting to encourage the other. Their fears are somewhat alleviated when they exit their room to find Nori and Warren, already dressed as staff, with their jaws practically on the floor.

K you know how in lots of stuff with magic it will like manifest in like cool geometric glyphs when people use it? In Corelight it manifests in Fibonacci/Phyllotaxis spiral patterns because yeah

hey look I got a drawing of Elsan! It was done by Brindle over on FA, who has also drawn Warren. This is technically a little “off-model”, her upper body should all be broader and larger and the shape of her head is different, but it’s okay, I don’t really have a solid reference sheet for her and I wasn’t able to actually make the stream that this was drawn in. It’s okay because I like seeing people’s different styles and takes on characters anyway.
