Woof woof! Corgi has been away, and Corgi might have to remain away now and then. The reasons are a bit complex, but Corgi's owner can explain a bit better.
(CO: As many know, I was kicked out of my house. I've sent out various resumes and such and still no job. However, this doesn't mean I don't have a lot of things to tend to. Thus far I've had about 3 mild breakdowns that thanks to a few supportive friends didn't escalate into something worse all because of college work alone. I work as a volunteer reporter as well, and work there has been increasingly stressful and tension-filled, leaving me to pick up all the slack as the others end up leaving. I can't leave, as this is a really good opportunity for me, the boss is actually allowing me to sell merchandise in their festivals and such, so that's a huge help. But it also means it's extra work I have to do, making merchandise even more and for an even closer deadline.
The group in college I lead is growing all the more, demanding more attention if I ever want to go anywhere with it. Commissions are stacking up, and they're still not enough for me to afford anything. I'm also supposed to be working on a portfolio, as I'm applying to internships so I can at least get some experience and have a better chance at getting a job. Recently I had to attend a book premiere where one of my comics was featured, and it was great! But it also meant I had quite a few people asking to make it a webcomic, which is something I've wanted to do for years.
Animatics and storyboards for classes are getting more and more urgent, and it's all a lot of work. I lack sleep often, and though I'm very happy to be so busy, it leaves me without much energy to tend to this blog. Therefore I'd like to apologize incredibly. I know so many people count on Corgi for help, and I don't want to disappoint anyone. But I think my activity needs to lessen a bit. Helping a cheery dog communicate is really difficult when you're not very cheery to begin with.
There's a lot of personal matters that I've left unattended in an effort to keep up with everything, from exploring my religious beliefs (as I had begun during summer) to forcing myself to ignore my anxiety and ending up having regular nightmares, to name a few, and I don't have any immediate support I feel I can count on (I relied very heavily on my pets and plants, and both are pretty much gone.) Thankfully midterms are over for me for now, so that's a huge load off of me for a short while.
I'm super sorry. Corgi is still here! But right now, I need a break. I need to organize myself properly to manage everything. So I'm sorry, Corgi will need to take some time off. You can still find me at my personal blog if you wish to communicate with me personally.
If you are in the Puerto Rican area, you might find me at SpaceOn working with Ikonix on Oct 12!
Again, huge apologies for everything, and thank you all for being so patient. <:) )
