it's been a while since i've posted one of these and posted in general but i found an ounce of inspiration yesterday so here i am.

lately, i've been moved by the simplest details -- a nuance in a beat, a subtle gesture, a fleeting feeling -- all these comprise our experiences. and yet it's funny, sometimes odd, and often disjunctive to experience these in isolation, collectively. it's like magnifying a digital image and all you're really left with are all these pixels that look almost like nothing but make up so much more.

it's that time of year when all my favorite music friends gathered for our annual mixtape party. this year's theme was "out with the old, in with the new" which couldn't possibly be more perfect. i decided to take more of a figurative approach this time around focusing on creating a narrative that progresses through lyrics. i found that attempting to represent transition can be quite the fragile thing so i hope the story shines through.
