I feel like they paired Johanna with Cori 2.0 to try and prevent as much Corinthian/Daniel shipping as possible. I have 0 hard evidence to back this up, it's just the vibe I get. Which on the one hand I can see where they're coming from (I don't necessarily agree, but I can see the logic). But on the other hand, fandom's gonna fandom, can't stop people from sailing their ships.
That being said, I really did like the chemistry between Cori and Johanna. I thought it was pretty well set up. Cori imprinting on Johanna was adorable, and we always LOVE to see a bi4bi couple winning 🥰
