The world is not what it once was. She’s clawed her way through the veil, stumbling around as if a newborn lamb, with shaking legs and accelerated breath, wide bambi eyes blinking as she takes in the world around her. The former succubus is truly dazed and a bit disoriented, but there’s a burning in her chest that’s something feral and thrilling, and Leyha cannot remember the last time she felt so alive — as much as a dead girl can be, anyhow. She’s so distracted by the sensation of being on earth once more, Leyha nearly misses the car barreling down the road that she’s standing in the middle of, only stepping out of the way at the last moment to avoid collision, a shrill and unpleasant horn invading her ears. “What the devil is that contraption?!” ( @corinthbaystarters )
