“So he set me up with a firefighter. This makes date number...ten in just this month.” Aegon knew his brother meant well, but the reaper found himself trying to put names to faces, especially the ones he took home afterwards. He was good at reading what they wanted. “This one would’ve been a second date kind of guy. Not the...easy fuck kind of guy. And while I appreciate my brother’s tenacity, I don’t want to be living with a boyfriend. Like you. No offense.”
atlasxrose:
The forest didn’t have the same appeal as it once had, the old cabin they’d repurposed had once more been overtaken by the wild. It had been dilapidated from the start, but with the fall colour change came the reveal of the rot underneath. Nostalgia had driven Atlas to ask his other half here, the brother who’d risked everything for him. Things were different now though, so much had changed between them but the bond between the two boys remained unbroken. It was a bit like this shelter, a relic from the past that still withstood the test of time. “I heard you stood up that firefighter I set you up with” The fury smirked, it wasn’t really why he’d asked his brother here but Atlas enjoyed small talk. All talk, really. Maybe spending time with Aegon came with a different sort of danger now. But he didn’t care, Atlas had spent so much of their life balming Aegon’s flames - now it was his brother’s turn. Because it was only when they were together that the fury’s instincts were dulled and Alecto’s pull was weakened. When they were together, he felt a bit like his old self again. It was nice. “What was wrong with this one?”
-
The endless amount of dates that Aegon had been set up on was making him beg Xander to finally marry his brother. If Atlas had a wedding to plan, he wouldn’t focus on Aegon’s failing dating life. It was ridiculous, to say the least. “Yes, at least I gave all of the other ones a first date.” But he was tired of first dates, all things considering. A free meal was great when he was poor and a witch, now he was a ghost who didn’t need to bother with money since he was dead. “I showed up – but I just didn’t...you know.” He had been invisible, standing at the front of the restaurant, staring at the firefighter. He’d been handsome, sure, but boring first date chatter was just as unappealing as the restaurant. “Maybe...you should focus on other things instead of my dating life.” He smiled at Atlas, bumping the other’s shoulder, “I’m a little tired of the first dates. I’m happy being alone.”

It was unseasonably cold for Greece, but Otto had been dead too long to know the difference. Dressed in a light, open jacket, he sat with his legs extended on a bench outside of Void. There was something unsettling about the city, ever since he’d gotten here Otto had felt on edge but he couldn’t really figure out why. Didn’t seem like anyone had an answer either, still, the fact that bars like this even existed fucking great - thank you Stephanie Meyers. “Aegon?” Otto said simply as his eyes narrowed on a man that looked an awfully lot like him, for a second he thought maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him. Aegon was a witch, a family-obsessed but very much alive witch. “You-” Otto stood up. “What the fuck happened to you?”
-
Aegon had found himself back at Void, it seemed like many souls were wandering around the place, killed by some of the vampires that laid within. This night, however, was quieter than most. Despite being pulled there, he found himself ready to go home, coming out of an alleyway and becoming visible once more. A vampire’s presence wasn’t unusual, but the voice that was paired with it was a blast from the past. “Otto,” he came to a stop, pushing his hands into his pockets now as he looked around, “What does it look like? I’m fine. I’m here, aren’t I?” He managed a smile, huffing out a laugh, “Why are you half way across the world?”

jacksonxvisconti:
“Here visiting a friend.” For an undetermined amount of time, at that. Jackson felt a pang of sadness at the loss of Ajax, he was a good person. Honest and kind, it was rare that the witch got to enjoy the company of people who weren’t outright trying to hide something. “The spirits here are restless, I was hoping you could help them.” Jackson said sincerely, he couldn’t see them but he could feel them lingering about the ruins. “Can I- can I ask how you died?”
-
Ajax smiled a little, though he held it only for a few seconds before he was looking around. Spirits were present within the ruins, lost for now, until Ajax could lead them back into the afterlife. “I can help them,” he said finally, knowing he would have to when they found him anyway. This was just Jackson doing part of the job for him. “A vampire,” he answered, looking back at his friend. He crossed his arms over his chest, looking down now, “One from back home. She took me off guard and...well, my best friend decided to avenge me, after I became a reaper. He became a fury.”
atlasxrose:
“We’ve fought enough lately, I’m happy pretending like-” It occurred to Atlas that he’d never told Ajax that he was engaged, however brief. “he proposed when the veil fell, after you died.” The fury explained, “But when it came back he forgot and things are good between us now. Eternally complicated but otherwise good.” Atlas mused, though he absolutely hated the news that Vasilis was a dragon now, at least he wasn’t a genasi. Probably still a piece of shit, but at least not a genasi. “Xander too, do you think there’s many of them? Dragons, I mean.”
-
Ajax blinked a few times, now only realizing how much he’d actually missed. It seemed strange when he and Atlas hadn’t been talking, like one argument had pulled them apart. The reaper idly wondered that if he hadn’t of reached out first, would Atlas have bothered? “Eternally complicated – I think that’s a good term for it.” He offered a smile, before he looked even more confused than before, “Xander, too? I couldn’t believe there was one dragon, let alone two. He started saying that this Valkyrie person helped with the...main dragon guy, and now they have these abilities.”
atlasxrose:
“You’re welcome to stay as long as you want.” Atlas offered, there wasn’t supposed to be an expiry date on their friendship, but things were strained now. He’d become a fury and accidentally given Ajax an immortality he never wanted, and now the mere presence of the reaper made him weak. Vulnerable. Fate was cruel. “Not even engaged.” The fury huffed tightly before he set his bags down, “You’d be the first to know if I was.”
-
Ajax sat down, his hands in his lap as he looked around the shop. He remembered when he’d lived here, hopeful that Greece would be a brand new adventure – away from his pack. Now, he was dead – and immortal. “Maybe you should drop a few more hints,” he gave a small smile, looking up at the nearest tapestry, “Vasilis is a...dragon, now.”

Location: Delphi Hotel Ruins
It was obvious that something awful happened here. Whatever it was went on for so long that the ground itself felt tainted. Through the folds of this world and the next spirits pressed for release, they were trapped here that much was clear, but they didn’t need to be. Jackson had been communing with the other side for years, he knew the sort of help that he needed came with a degree of risk, but if he could help the shades that were trapped here then it was a risk he was willing to run. When night fell Jackson returned to the hotel and set about creating a circle for summoning, the moon was nearly full and in good position for this particular ritual. As the witch struck a match he spoke an ancient incantation for invocation, “Spiritus morte,” Jackson’s voice was clear, concise, and magically charged as he called for a spirit of death, a shepherd to ferry these lost souls from this side and to the next. “venit messorem.” There was an ominous crack as the power that filled the air broke at the circle’s epicenter. Where once there had been nothing but a candle and a few broken bones, stood a man that Jackson recognized all too well. Confusion etched the witch’s features as he thought for only a moment that he’d spoken incorrectly, but his intuition caught up with him quickly. “You-” his brow furrowed, “you died?”
-
Ajax was used to being summoned as a werewolf. It had become almost like second nature, especially since it was by Atlas. The other’s magic had always been intertwined with his, and it was almost a comforting feeling. This – however – was different. It was a pull as a reaper, and who could do that? Ajax flickered into view, the familiar voice of an old friend catching him off guard. “And you’re in Greece?” The reaper looked around, finally meeting Jackson’s gaze, “Why are you – why are you summoning reapers?”
atlasxrose:
Atlas hadn’t seen Ajax since the reaper had disregarded his feelings. Whatever version of love Ajax had been looking for, he’d found a monster who killed without remorse. A genasi, specifically. It wasn’t hard for the fury to tell when he was being followed, particularly by a reaper considering his powers had all but dissipated in the other’s presence. Ajax made him vulnerable, a thought that the other’s boyfriend probably loved. “The same.” Except I want to kill people less, “I was just about to open the shop.” Nobody else would start work for another hour still, they had the place to themselves. “Did you want to come inside?” Considering you used to live her.
-
Ajax nodded, following Atlas inside the shop. “I won’t stay long,” he said quietly, considering how he could feel his own power press against the fury’s. It wasn’t anything he could control, but he felt guilty all the same. If something were to happen to his oldest friend because of him, he wouldn’t forgive himself. “You’re still not married?”
vasilisadrestia:
“Well, of course it is. Turning into a fucking dragon isn’t exactly something you hear every day.” He was still in shock about it even though he had been told mostly everything. by Dreki. Maybe he would need to talk to the other man again soon. “Alright.” He walked a slight distance away from Ajax. “Uh, don’t scream.” He closed his eyes for a moment and felt his body transforming by the second. It was a longer process for him, but when he was done, he was in the air and then swooping down to sit near Ajax in his wyvern form.
Scream was really the last thing Ajax wanted to do. Instead, he stared, wide eyed, as Vasilis transformed into a dragon. Each scale was a different shade of red whenever he moved, and the reaper found himself reaching out to press his hand against the hard skin. Pulling back, he let out a breath, “This is amazing, Vee.”
@atlasxrose
Ajax hadn’t seen Atlas since the fury had disregarded his feelings. He’d specifically come to Corinth Bay to find his best friend, and while he’d done that, he’d found love as well. The reaper hated fighting, however, and he moved to stand in front of Atlas. Granted, he had just turned visible and may had been following his friend, “Hi. I wanted to see how you were doing.”
vasilisadrestia:
Vasilis genuinely felt bad every time he felt like he was lying to Ajax. He wanted to be better for the reaper, but it was harder than he though. Maybe, now that he didn’t have his genasi magic anymore, things would be so much easier on him. It was almost as if a weight had been lifted off of his shoulders. There was a bright side to this. “That’s probably a good idea, yeah,” he said as Ajax teleported them out of the house. “Uh…so do you really want to see?”
“Of course I do. This is...I don’t know. Something new for you, and I’m sure it’s a lot.” Ajax knew what that was like – but so did Vasilis. He’d been a witch, now a genasi, and now...a shifter. Ajax had just known death. “Lead the way.”
beau-zale:
Valkyrie? Hadn’t Anastasia mentioned her? Beau’s demeanor went from casual to immediate dad mode. If she had been mentioned, she was a rift and if she were helping Ajax’s partner, it meant she had indirect contact with the rest of them. But especially Ajax, he wasn’t about to let anything happen to him, not again, the kid had been through too much. “It’s all very CW special meets HBO, I know, but that’s just life.” Still, he sighs and sits up just a bit straighter to show that he means business. “Jax, where the hell is this Valkyrie? Did Vasilis say anything?”
-
Ajax grinned a little at Beau’s comparison, thinking about it again, “I guess it is, huh? I never watched any of those, but I’ve seen the memes.” Growing up in the woods made him a little sheltered, but he’d been catching up thanks to Vasilis. “I don’t know where she is. He didn’t say. But I’m having a crisis. Like – I don’t know. Do you think it’s better he’s not a genasi anymore?”
RONEN RUBINSTEIN as TK Strand “Displaced” — 9-1-1: Lone Star (2.07)
beau-zale:
“Wait, wait, wait, he was a genasi, he’s a shifter now?” Beau has half a mind to check the place for cameras. Was everyone involved with one of them a dragon now? Was it something they’d done? He couldn’t believe it, he almost refused to. Sitting up and steepling his fingers together in his lap, he looks squarely to Ajax. “Like, a rather large shifter? Because so is Henry. And so is Emre’s twink.” The reapers had a monopoly on the dragon shifter market it would seem, that boded well for them in the long run, he supposed. “But um, yeah I think we’ll get along.” Eventually, he was sure they’d get on just fine.
-
“Yeah, exactly.” Ajax wasn’t sure how Beau caught on so quickly, but it all made sense. What was their luck? All the reapers somehow knew a dragon. A dragon. “I still feel like I’m dreaming,” he admitted quietly, huffing out a breath before he shook his head. “I don’t get how it happened. He said it was a dormant gene, someone named Valkyrie was helping? Like what?”
vasilisadrestia:
“Yeah, I’m working on that, Ajax. It’s really hard to change things about yourself when you’ve been doing certain things to survive for a very long time. I mean, I’m in my fucking nineties.” It made him cringe to even say that out loud. But he had been alive for a very long time. Maybe too long some would probably say. “I honestly don’t know. Valkyrie had something to do with it. The line had gone dormant and she helped revive it.” His eyebrows rose at the request. “I don’t…I don’t know how to.”
The sentence just sounded like an excuse, but Ajax didn’t want to comment on that just yet. Not while Vasilis was panicking about this whole changing species thing. It was worrying, but the man was alive, and would no longer have to worry about that. But it meant the reaper would lose him a lot sooner. “We’ll figure it out, Vee. Maybe we should get out of the house, though.” He curled his fingers around the other’s bicep, teleporting them outside.
