I am reading Blood Meridian and in chapter 9 there is a scene which echoes obviously The Good the Bad and the Ugly’s “carriage of the spirits” scene.
Now I wonder how many people noticed it.
The persistent ghost of death, the ruthlessness of people and the little value of life are common themes to both works.
