Hello um. I’ve been following you for a while. And I really love your Jellydragon au. But...I don’t know where the beans came from. Or why Gabriel is a big dragon... Do you have a post on your blog to background it? I may have missed it when flipping through the tag. Thank you for your time!
Oh!! I haven’t actually written up a primer for it yet, so that’s on me! Basically, Gabe is a jellydragon after accidentally coming into contact with foreign DNA samples that the nanites absorbed, which corrupted his nanites’ genetic cache so instead of rebuilding his human form it turned him into that.
Jellybeans come from eggs!
Jellydragons are basically an alien species whose genetic samples were being studied in Oasis. The samples were picked up on a few deep space missions that the Lunar Colony managed as a relay station. After the colony went dark there weren’t any more samples, so the remaining ones were kept in Oasis for scientists from several nations to study.
I haven’t talked about it much more past that, but uh, there’s a teeny tiny primer on the AU!!
