Funky layered pinned twist on a cornrowed mohawk #naturalhair #teamnatural #protectivestyle #naturalframework I was rocking this style for a large part of 2010. The pinned center was inspired by the lead singer of the UK band, The Noisettes. I always frame my face with cornrows or 2-strand twists on the sides & I decided I liked the funk, glamour, edge & quirkiness of the look so it stuck. The sister, pictured above, met me at an after work event and liked the style, too. So we talked about her hair, styles she's tried, wanted to try n stuff and she wanted to test this look out on her... And the rest, is history ;)
