Page 04. --- Cornwall, Sept. 11 (Special). - Cornwall police have been notified of the arrest at Oneida, N.Y., Friday of Joseph George, 24, one of two Indian prisoners who escaped from the county’s jail here July 30. George is being held by New York State police on a charge of second degree burglary, and it is not expected he will be returned to Cornwall for some time. George and Wilfrid Charrow, 19, who were being held on remand on charges of theft, scaled the wall of the jail yard by means of a mason’s scaffold, being used in repair work, and made good their escape before jail guards noted their absence. They have been sought since by city, Provincial and R.C.M. police, the search centring upon the St. Regis Reservation along both side of the Canadian-United States border.
