Hey, remember my Trapped in Shadows AU?

This is essentially the aftermath of the events in this post: Shadow Army bringing Team Supreme King to the Shadow S4 via a stolen car, then the whole group getting confronted by Shadow Newperor.

Emperor then tries to negotiate with Shadow Jr peacefully… thus removing the most rational and calm members of both parties from the escalating situation. This, predictably, leads to Rider and Shadow Prinz making each other angrier and angrier.

some concepts + notes abt ideas i had regarding the whole cannibalism thing and shadows gaining colours after eating regular inkfish from this post

(and yes ive just realized i spelled absorption wrong the whole time but im not changing it now)

FIRST IMAGE

Average Shadow Inkfish: -Dull grey scheme -Yellow is usually only colour (also seen in eyes) -Can be glitchy

Stage 1 of Ink Mixing: -Slight build of excess ink causes it to spread in need of more space -Spreads to extremities (ear edges, fingers) as well as tentacle spots -Also can build up on tongue -Not yet same colours as original

Stage 2 of Mixing: -Ink colour of original becomes prominent in tentacles -> Process may be gradual or very fast depending on tentacle length -> Also sets in on tongue -Other ink colours show up in other places. They are typically similar to the original's skin tone.

Final Mixing Stage: -Skin tone sed in, plus any ink left to set in on longer tentacles -Clothes never change colour -Eyes and lighting bolt don't change either, though eyes can be altered via contacts.

SECOND IMAGE

Melting: If too much ink is consumed and a shadow has been through the whole ink absorption process, they may start to "melt" excess ink off. This only occurs around tentacle and flesh areas.

Note that the mask hides Mask's lightning bolt

THIRD IMAGE

Ink Rejection: Just like regular bodies can reject food, a shadow's body can reject ink. It mostly comes out in the forms Aloha is showing at this stage of absorption, but it can happen in other ways and in later stages. For example. a fully coloured shadow's body may begin rejecting new or differently coloured ink. This is rare but possible. This can be painful as hell.

Aloha is at stage 1 of absorption.
