Losing my FREAKING mind right now
He's waking up in Aedes Elysiae, named after the fields of Elysium, which is the afterlife of heroes. I can't articulate it very well but this hit so hard for me.
We met him as a charming knight in shining armor with a mysterious past, the very picture of a fairytale hero, and we've watched him grow so much. All the suffering he's witnessed and experienced making him stronger, wanting to protect what's left so no one else has to suffer
Maybe this is meant to symbolize that he's finally realized what it means to be a hero
