i was tagged by the absolutely incomparable M (@somethingaboutsewing)! i baton-pass to my ladies @cashewdani, @megalong, @hondagirll & @carlytenney (+ any and everyone else)!
Are you staying home from work/school? most definitely! my coworkers, students, and i left our building on march 12th and will not be stepping foot in the doors again until next school year. distance-learning/-teaching training was this past week, and ‘school’ picks back up on april 14th.
If you’re staying home, who’s there with you? i still live in my childhood home, with my family. so, currently, my mom, dad, the youngest of my three sisters who’s last-semestering from home, and my dog, keira.
Are you a homebody? totally and completely, yes! although i do usually move around a bit more than is mandated at the moment. i enjoy going to the movies, to starbucks, to work, to concerts, etc. i’m just not outdoorsy, even slightly.
What movies have you watched recently? What shows are you watching? i watched serialized, a lifetime movie that’s on prime, because it stars vanessa ray (aka eddie janko in real life; i’m nothing if not consistent). other than that, movie-wise? old standbys. you’ve got mail, the sound of music, pollyanna, roman holiday, one fine day, etc. i watch exactly four currently airing tv shows - blue bloods, ncis, single parents, and zoey’s extraordinary playlist — all of which i adore and all of which are getting truncated seasons/might be done for the year at this point, i think. maybe i should check on that!
i watched friday’s ‘blue bloods’ saturday morning and then facetimed my grandma in queens to chat about it. she’d been talking with a friend while it was on and doesn’t have a dvr, so our conversation filled in the gaps of eddie and jamie’s neighbor lady’s storyline for her. we were both delighted!
An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? laura osnes, susan egan, and christy altomare were broadway princess partying on march 29th @ a local college. my mom had alerted me to it and we were all set to go together.
What music are you listening to? the corontine playlist i curated for myself, kelsea ballerini’s new album
What are you reading? running out of time by margaret peterson haddix, like it’s 1995 and i’m seven years old again. also, my copy of persepolis is waiting for me because i’ve yet to get around to it.
What are you doing for self-care? constantly running songs through my head/singing under my breath, making a mental note of the day of the week, the date, and my to-do list when i wake up, drinking as much coffee as i want, wearing non-work clothes to do work because it amuses me.
