Today I got to entertain the colleagues with a tale from my good old days in the corporate world, when some dude tried to mansplain a process to me.

Dude (over chat, out of nowhere): Hey, you familiar with the process document for this?

Me: ...yes, why?

Dude: Well, you did it wrong for a few cases. You should be doing Y, not X.

Me: Pretty sure Section 2 says in the case of W, you have to do X before Y?

Dude, a while later: Yea, OK.

Me: Can you do me a favour?

Dude: Sure?

Me: Check the name on that process doc.

Him: Oh, OK.

Guess who wrote the damn process doc, after wrangling three separate departments? Yup, yours truly.

Leveraging the community of fellow clients of a large tech company for help with setting up their poorly-documented product, resisting the urge to inquire whether I should try a blood sacrifce and if so, to which eldritch abomination. Gotta look somewhat professional "in public"!

Unlike that one time when the switch cabinet on my office floor made the most unholy, discordant, whiny noises and I filed a ticket with internal IT with the words "I'll leave it for you to decide whether it needs WD-40 or an exorcism, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to sound like this!" *attaches audio recording*

Come to think of it, I probably still have that audio kicking around somewhere.

Coworker1: Yeah, I'm gonna send them an angry email. Could you paste the request in the chat? Coworker2: This one? Coworker1: Yeah, the response. Coworker2: Did you want the response or the request? Coworker1: Like I said, I need the request and I need the response. Then I need the request we make with the response. Coworker2: So this one? Coworker1: No. The request. Coworker2: I'm... just gonna paste the whole thing. this is IT. istg. this is my day. all day. every day. these fucking goobers what even.

A bunch of M$ forms have been breaking recently, my guess is that the creator of the forms MS AD account, who left a while back, needed to be recycled, and now things are slowly starting to break. I really hate the power platform, its really bad for IT management, and puts a lot of power into the hands of the uneducated. I think most of the corporate world is tied together with an infinite amount of excel sheets and linked formulae, and stood up using AD accounts of corporate ghosts
