is the choice animatic still canon? the one w/ leiru n all the demigods

It's Corpse Eyes, it's canon no matter what future stuff is made. Corpse Eyes' gimmick is that it can be told a ton of different ways even with deliberately wrong or outdated details amidst correct ones. It was always just made for fun with not really any "canonical" regard. It just exists as a perspective recount.

ok heres a lil funny silyl question,, do you think officers would be used in like. motivational posters for miyaris city.. like a funny lil silly robot being used as a mascot

oh abso-LUTELY. in actuality, they look do pretty frightening, but there's a ton of artwork and such ALL around the City depicting them as cute and benevolent just like this, like guardian mascots:

I was originally planning a Miyari-centric animatic, which would mainly feature this sort of 50's aesthetic and general art style, and would've featured a ton of super stylized Officers in this similar style!

actually a theory based on my last sent asks based on literally nothing but design choices. I think the doll children Are the vani demigods. the color schemes. the semblas. The Horns. they have to be related to them SOMEHOW even if they arent who the demigods used to be . It’s too suspicious . I want to know more about them SO BAD. such an interesting thing you got going on here from design similarities ALONE

Corpse Eyes is a WEIRDLY structured story, but this is what I told the server when the animatic was released:

tldr; Corpse Eyes is told via varying historical accounts. I'll tell random parts of the story through differing lenses with differing opinions, biases, and information- just like how real life is with legends and history.

the TME animatic was one view of the events that surrounded Leiru..... but some information may be wrong due to propaganda! Who knoooooooooowsssssss

Some "Tellings" will be very explicitly wrong in certain aspects, as a way to sort of make a "canon AU"- it's canon in the fact that a character, in-universe, told the story of the Corpse Eyed Dragon in a very incorrect, wild, "what-if" way!

since i'm focusing on Stars Below, i haven't made new BIG Corpse Eyes stuff since. but one day..... ooooooone day

who have been your favorite characters to write?? any surprise favorites as you’ve developed the story more??

for the surprise favorites, honestly i'd have to say Zahalkro and Bellojey, even though you wouldn't think so with how much i fuckin talk about/draw them

BOTH of them started off as spur-of-the-moment "yeah, they exist" characters, with Zahalkro being the first ever Vani i showed off who wasn't one of the original 10 planned Vani. i honestly thought i'd hate him or at least forget about him over time, but he sorta just SKYROCKETED to being one of my favs EVER. bellojey, too, started as a one-note (pun intended) character who existed as a new iteration of an even older idea.

then, as i developed them and their dynamic, i just fell in LOVE WITH THEM BOTH

also Qerolzva. i dunno what tf happened because i had him with "annoying stuck-up boss" in mind when i initially made him but now i adore his stupid purple nerd cat self

as for my absolute favorite character to write.......... well, she isn't Stars Below, or even a kwaiz, but Leiru is my absolute favorite character. hands down. nothing can replace her in my heart. she's been with me since early gradeschool and i'm in my early mid 20's now. she's the ONE character i have down to an absolute T and i can't wait to actually SHOW HER STORY TOOOOOOO

(also Miyari counts for both a surprise favorite and a FAVORITE favorite. i think i just really like green characters and purple characters)

Well, today I woke up to @kenopsia-official apparently following me, which baffled me as much as it excited me since I don’t really do anything here! 14 year old me would be freaking out right now if I went back and time and told them! I took it as a sign to finally draw Leiru, who I absolutely adore!!!
