The Corpse King - Ruler of Necropolis the Cursed
The legends say that the ruler of Necropolis was once a powerful wizard studying necromancy. During the great Holy War, he led his armies of undead minions and abominations to countless battles, until a legendary paladin impaled him to his throne in Necropolis with a divine sword. But the King had mastered the powers of undeath, and instead of passing away his necromantic energy imbued the sword and corrupted it, turning the divine weapon into some sort of phylactery and eventually binding the wizard to his throne. The legends say that the paladin died instantly as the newly created phylactery drank his soul. Nowadays, the Corpse King keeps plotting against his enemies without knowing they passed away ages ago, as he can't leave the throne room, binded by the corrupted sword still stuck on his throne and his former body.

I accidentally made him more of a stinky baby than a threatening figure but tbr that's what he is anyways
