More options for what you can do with your body after death: you can become compost!
I’m sure many of you here have heard of tree pods, where you are buried along with a tree and grow into one. This is akin to that idea, except rather than grow one plant, you become compost which can, in theory, be used for many plants, or other very specific plants that are being planted in your memory.
I support their mission for “Ecological Deathcare”.
I love how cemeteries look, and I do consider having a tombstone of sorts, somewhere, someday, but I do not believe I need to take up all that space underground in a coffin, for an indefinite period of time. I think it would be far better to have a movable tombstone, and for my body to return to the earth in a far healthier way.
I hope that this idea, and others like it, continue to catch on.
I hope that our deaths continue to support life.
It makes it a bit easier to face it.
