Deconstruction Records did not really house that many musicians who continue to work on these days, i.e. most of the outfits they were paying with their checks didn't really have long careers. I mean, the Jam Machine had some hits and that's about that. Sure, the members of the groups ended up elsewhere, which probably did suit them. I think one of the reasons many dance producers operate under a variety of names might be they don't wish to turn themseves into a brand. For instance, I think the people behind the Jam Machine had some issues with the fact this project turned into something that needs to be successful. This can stiffle some and this happened to way too many electronic music producers in the 80's and the 90's.
