I really hate the fact that russians can choose to be politically aware, while ukranians, indigenous russians and peoples who were otherwise damaged by russia HAVE to be politically informed. a russian person can choose to research holodomor or cultural genocide of crimean tatars, but ukranians and crimean tatars know about this since their childhood, they have to know about all the monstrosities russia has committed towards their people. russians are privileged, this is a privilege.

you talk to a russian person, mention some genocide, war crime or ethnic cleansing, and they get so surprised and angry at you simply because they don't know or don't believe in these events

why is it my duty to educate them, if they are too lazy to open some normal history book and read something about their own crimes through tons of bullshit they have in their heads called russian mentality?

Exactly. Tom is attractive, he looks good in the costume and he will slay that role. And I don’t think people will romanticized the military just because Tom is wearing the uniform. I mean, I sure hope not because his character in the film (or just the film in general) is not something to be romanticized, at all. Always separate the actor from the character he plays.
